1. Issue-Return Service

The library provides efficient issue and return services to facilitate quickly borrowing and returning books and other materials.

2. Reference Books

A comprehensive collection of reference books is available for in-library use, offering valuable resources for research and study.

3. Reference and Information Services

The library offers specialized reference and information services to assist users in finding relevant materials and resources efficiently.

Special Collection for Competitive Exam Books

The library has a dedicated Special Collection featuring books and resources specifically curated for competitive exam preparation. This collection includes study materials, guidebooks, solved papers, and reference texts covering a wide range of competitive exams. Users can access these resources within the library premises, and assistance is available to help locate the desired materials. This specialized collection is invaluable for students preparing for exams such as UGC NET/GSET, GPSC, UPSC, SSC, Banking, Railway, and other government or professional entrance tests.

4. Files of Old Question Papers

The library maintains a collection of previous examination question papers, which are readily accessible to students for exam preparation. In this digital era, previous year exam papers are digitally available. Click this link  https://patanarts.org/library/

5. Internet Services

The library offers free internet services to all users. There are a total of 6 PCs, 2 speakers, and 1 printer dedicated to students. Additionally:

A separate computer with downloading facilities is available for professors and researchers.

This facility is widely appreciated and frequently used by library patrons.

6. Download Services

The library has curated a collection of subject-specific e-journals, e-books, and articles to support academic research. Regular updates are provided to users to keep them informed of the latest additions and developments.

7. Printing Services

A dedicated printer is available for students to obtain instant printouts from the Internet. However, most users prefer saving information on pen drives or memory cards for convenience.

8. Non-Book Materials

The library houses more than 500 CDs, which are restricted to on-premises use. Copies of CDs are made available upon request to meet user needs.

9. Library Extension Services

To expand its services, the library has established a collaboration with M.N. Science College. This partnership allows:

Science College students to access our library from 7:30 am to 12:45 pm.

Our students can access the Science College library from 11:30 am to 5:50 pm.

Teaching and non-teaching staff, retired professors, alumni, and external university students to access library services as needed.

Availability of previous examination paper sets for external students.

10. Photocopy Services

The library has recently introduced photocopy services available from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Students can request photocopies at a nominal rate of 0.50 paisa per copy.

11. User Orientation and Training

The library conducts orientation sessions to educate new students about proper library usage and services.

Instructions and guidelines are displayed on notice and display boards.

New students receive guidance during a three-day orientation program.

Students are also trained to use OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) through general sessions.

Students are also trained to use Digital Resources.

12. Library Programs and Activities

The library organizes various programs annually to encourage reading habits and library utilization, such as:

These initiatives aim to foster enthusiasm among students, who participate actively and with great interest.
